Professor Isabelle Skinner’s research and teaching focuses on evidence based interventions that improve life for people in rural and remote communities both in Australia and internationally. As a remote health practitioner she identified that people living in rural and remote areas needed a wide scope of services to meet their small scale but specific health and social service needs. She has a PhD in Public Health and specialises in designing telehealth and mhealth interventions. Her current work is leading the development team for the App emojifit® Diabetes to assist people with type 2 diabetes with their self-management journey.
