Anne Lise Ryel Master of Laws Ms Anne Lise Ryel is the Secretary General of the Norwegian Cancer Society (NCS) for 14 years. She has led NCS to become one of the most influential NGOs in Norway, and is considered “the face and voice of cancer”. Ryel has worked in all fields of society: In private sector as a lawyer; in public sector as the Norwegian Gender Equality Ombudsman and Deputy Director General at the Directorate of Health and in politics as Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Justice.
Ryel has a pronounced strategic mindset, combined with a deep passion for the cancer cause. She has a wide professional network of political leaders on the highest level in Norway and internationally.
Ryel is member of the UICC Board since 2012.
