Berglind Smaradottir

Berglind Smaradottir is a PhD Research Fellow in Information and Communication Technology at the University of Agder. Her doctoral dissertation will be in the autumn of 2016. Smaradottir has explored active user-involvement in two research and development projects: the EU-project United4Health og eHealth-extended Care Coordination funded by Regional Research Fund Agder (RFFA). In both projects, end-users from hospital, municipalities and patient organisations were involved in workshops in an early design phase and participated in usability evaluations during iterative development.   She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from  College of Health Sciences in Uppsala, Sweden (1996) and a master’s degree in Telemedicine and eHealth from the University of Tromsø – the Arctic University of Norway (2009).
